Classical Revolution & Capitol Opera Richmond perform Giovanni Pergolesi's cherished 1733 one-act comic opera,"La Serva Padrona."  This hilarious work depicts the machinations of Serpina, who will play whatever tricks or pranks she must in order to make Uberto marry her. This favorite piece has received a

very contemporary reworking by director, J. Gershman.

Set in the home office of a high-tech entrepreneur, this delightful interpretation features classical Italian physical comedy, up-beat music, and a very modern twist.

Local artists, soprano Jessica Wakelyn and baritone Chase Peak, lend their talents to bringing this fresh take on a timeless classic to life.
