The 2010 Down Home Family Youth Photography Contest theme is Family Gatherings. The promotion’s goal is to capture and celebrate meaningful moments between young people and their family members.

Participants who submit photographs must be between the ages of 8 and 18. A submitted photograph must have been taken by the person submitting it. Submissions may be color or black and white photographs but must be on 5” x 7” glossy photograph paper. Photographs will be chosen for display by a panel of professional local photographers. Chosen photographs will be on display at the Main Library from August 10th to August 20 before being displayed during the 2010 Down Home Family Reunion on August 21 and 22.

The judges will choose one outstanding photograph as the grand prize winner. The participant who submitted the grand prize winning photograph will receive a digital camera and a $250 grocery store gift certificate.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 9, 2010.
