Personal Care Assistant Training (PCA)
10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. Monday-Friday
Amazing Hands Home Care offers certified 40-hour comprehensive training to adults to prepare for an entry-level position as a professional PCA in residential community and in-home care settings. The PCA skills-based training touches on many areas including compassionate communication, proper body mechanics, assistance with acts of daily living, fire safety, hospice, and self-care for the caregiver. Amazing Hands Home Care provides hands-on practice through lecture, small group discussion, class textbook and videos. Upon successful completion, students will receive an Award of Completion and a list of local employers who may offer special consideration. Call for tuition information (804)495-1038. Teens and Parents - Come learn what your rights and responsibilities are at the third installment of the Community Law Series, hosted by Richmond Public Law Library and the People’s Law of Richmond, PLLC, Monday, October 21st at 4:30 PM at Main Library.
