Friends of RPL Book Donation

Here at the library, we Friends love books.  We especially love FREE BOOKS!

Thank you for thinking of RPL when you have new or gently used books to give away.  The Friends take great care in sorting the books, adding them to the library collections, or pricing them, and putting them in our Big Book Sale!  To donate, just print off the donation sheet by clicking here

Fill it in and bring your donated books to Main Library, or any branch location.  A librarian will happily sign it - and viola! - you walk out with a tax deduction!  Plus you walk out with the satisfaction that you have helped the Friends support the Richmond Public Library, which strives to serve the community, of which you are apart - so really the donation comes back to you in a "circle of life" type cliché.

So get a warm fuzzy and donate some books to the Friends of RPL!  Again,

You may be asking - "What type of books and materials does the library like?" - Well, we take all kinds of books, DVDs, CDs and other materials.  Some things we can't resell (not that we don't like old books that have been in a basement - they're kitschy, but sorry, we can't use them), and some things we just get too many of.  To answer all your questions, please read this handy handout "Questions you might ask before donating materials" by clicking here.

Thanks again!  And don't forget to say "hi" to your donated books at the Big Biannual Book Sale!
